dc.description.abstract | The study investigated the effectiveness of projected and non- projected teaching aids on student’s academic achievement in sultan Muhammad Maccido institute for Qur’an and general studies Sokoto state, Nigeria. The study sought to establish the academic achievement of students considering projected and non- projected teaching aids. The study was prompted due to the persistent report that students in sultan Muhammad Maccido institute for Qur’an and general studies Sokoto state, Nigeria, are getting difficulties in their studies due to different teaching using different teaching aids by their teachers. The study was conducted using cross-sectional survey design, using questionnaires and interviews on a sample of 513 respondents. In answering the research hypotheses the researcher used descriptive statistics, paired sample t-test and correlation. The study established that there was a difference in academic achievements in results obtained by students using non projected teaching aids and those got after using projected teaching aids on one sample. A positive improvement was noted in the result got after using projected aids. According to correlation results projected teaching aids predicted student academic achievement more than the non projected teaching aids. It is recommended that there is need for Sultan Muhammad Maccido Institute for Qur’an and general studies Sokoto to invest more in projected teaching aids and related technology when teaching students. Access to projected teaching aids tools should not be limited only in class and libraries, but also been expanded to other learning facilities. | en_US |
