Muslim, Christian, Jewish Relations and Peace Building In Namanyonyi Sub-County, Mbale District.
Abstract
This study set out to analyze the relations between Muslim, Christian, Jewish and Peace building in Namanyonyi Sub-County, Mbale district, Uganda. The specific objective of the study was; to explore the relationship between Scriptural teachings of Muslims, Christian, Jewish and Peace building in Namanyonyi Sub-County; the specific objectives were; to examine the relationship between cultural practices among Muslim, Christians, Jews and peace building in Namanyonyi Sub-County; to examine relationship between Economic activities of the Muslim, Christian, Jewish and peace building in Namanyonyi Sub-County. The researcher used a correlation study design to establish the relationship between variables. Proportionate stratified sampling and Census inquiry were used to select respondents. The research questions were that the researcher sought to test were. There is no significant relationship between Scriptural teachings, Cultural practices, Economic and peace building in Namanyonyi Sub-County. The study found out that, out of the three pre-indicators Scriptural teaching, Cultural practices and Economic activities, cultural practices were the only stand alone pre-indicator of peace building in Namanyonyi SubCounty. Therefore two projected predicators that are; Scriptural teachings and Economic activities were excluded.
