The study sought to assess the effect of training on employee performance in the education sector in Nakaseke Sub-county local government. The study was guided by three objectives namely; to examine the aspects of training programs planed by NSC, to analyse the effects of training on the provision of educational service in NSC and finally to assess the challenges facing training of teachers in NSC. The study constituted of 123 respondents. Furthermore, data was gathered using questionnaires and interview guide as instrument in data collection and it was presented using tables. In addition, related literature was reviewed from different sources. Conclusively, the study recommended that there is need to institute a strategy where a community is chosen and beneficiaries are automatically chosen on merit by looking at certain indicators that really show that such a beneficiary needs help, there is also need to involve a majority of youth in the skills development programs because most of them that are out of schools are too redundant and are likely to get problems if they are not attended toen_US
