These teachers included Untrained, Grade III, Grade V and Graduate teachers who were appointed by the District to perform the duties of the classroom teachers. The study was carried out in 15 selected government aided primary schools. It intended to establish the effect of supervision on the performance of primary teachers in Nakaseke Sub-county, Nakaseke District to enhance quality education. The researcher used questionnaires and interviews schedules as the instruments to collect the data. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the information collected during the study. The results of the study revealed that generally teachers rated supervisors’ visits to schools at an average rate. Teachers make an effort to prepare lesson plans and schemes of work. Grade III teachers and untrained teachers were mainly supervised by the school supervisors. The Head teachers and Deputy Head teachers carried out supervision at a high rate since they are at the stations with the teachers. Teachers are comfortable and confident during external supervisors’ visits to schools.
