    An Assessment of the effect of the Implementation of Teacher Staffing Policy on the Performance of Teachers in Government Aided Primary Schools in Nangabo Sub County in Wakiso District

    The study is about an assessment of the effect of the implementation of teacher staffing policy on the performance of teachers in government-aided primary schools in Nangabo Sub County in Wakiso District. The primary objective of this study was to; assess the effect of the teacher staffing policy on teacher’s performance, to find out how the aspects of the teacher staffing policy are implemented and the aspects of the teacher staffing policy that have been implemented in Nangabo sub-County in Wakiso District. Data was collected using questionnaire and documentary review methods. The respondents included teachers and Head teachers. In presenting the findings, Percentages and frequencies were used. The findings of the study revealed that the implementation of teacher staffing policy has been done and it has affected the teacher’s performance both positively and negatively. It further revealed that not only the implementation of the teacher staffing policy affects teacher’s performance, but also other factors that are both internal and external. It was therefore recommended that the negative effects of the teacher staffing policy should be addressed in order to improve upon teachers’ performance.
